FORE Golf Asia
FORE Golf Asia is the market’s leading golf course management consultancy with more than 15 years hands-on course management, development, tournament-organization and merchandizing experience in Southeast Asia. Its team of golf-industry experts is headed by Jeff Puchalski, a PGA-certified golf professional with profound knowledge of the region's hospitality and real estate industry.
After attending San Antonia College in his home state of California, Jeff took up tenure at Wilshire Country Club in Los Angeles — one of the city’s elite private clubs. There, he worked as a Golf Professional for more than a decade. In 1995, he was elected a member of the PGA of America.
Jeff arrived in Asia in February 1996 as General Manager & Director of Golf at the historic Dalat Palace Golf Club in Vietnam. A few years later, he assumed additional responsibilities for Danao's golf properties; he would ultimately be named General Director of Ocean Dunes Golf Club in Phan Thiet. The ensuing years would see Puchalski’s direct of myriad course renovation and real estate projects. Jeff also served on various boards for Danao, one of the largest U.S. investors in Vietnam with more than US$100 million spread across myriad golf, hospitality and real estate developments. Puchalski, who remains a resident of Ho Chi Minh City, is a former chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam.
Puchalski is joined atop the Fore Golf Asia management structure by Nguyen Quoc Khanh, as VP of Design and Construction associate. Khanh is perhaps the most able and experienced Vietnamese national working in course construction and design industry, having started his career alongside IMG in the building of Nick Faldo-designed Ocean Dunes GC back in 1994. He would serve as golf operations manager at Ocean Dunes from 1996 to 2000, before leaving to oversee construction of Golfplan-designed Long Thanh Golf Club in suburban HCMC. Following Long Thanh’s opening in 2003, he worked on the vendor side, serving VN golf clients in the computer and pump system/irrigation sectors.
At FGA, Khanh puts this design, operations and construction experience to use by acting as the client’s advocate and watchdog in such key areas as design and construction drawings, site surveying, the assembly and oversight of construction teams, and the on-site monitoring on project progress — from pre-construction all the way through to ribbon-cutting.
